Piano Recital
Wednesday, May 21Tonight we went to Luke & Joseph's spring piano recital. They did a great job!! A special thanks to their teacher, Pam Moody, for her fantastic teaching.
Luke played Pour le Piano by Debussy.
Joseph played Mozart's Sonata, Allegro K. 330
and Bach's Invention No. 14

What the Bible Says about Scorn and Mockery
"Mockery, like anger, is a powerful emotional force. In the Bible, it was almost always used by a proud person who was trying to stop or hinder the work of God or the truth of God. Mockery of truth was an attempt to get people to lay aside their minds and follow their emotions. Jesus faced much mockery while here on earth. It is questionable whether Christians should ever use mockery. Psalm 1:1 says, “Blessed is the man that ... sitteth not in the seat of the scornful.”

Peter Lillback at the Circa History Guild
Tuesday, May 13On Friday evening and Saturday morning, Dr. Peter Lillback spoke at the Circa History Guild about his two books Washington's Sacred Fire and Wall of Misconception. For those of you who aren't up to reading a 700 page biography of Washington yet, he says they are working on putting out a 200-300 page abridged edition of Sacred Fire.
Dr. Lillback is the president of Westminster Theological Seminary, Senior Pastor at Proclamation Presbyterian Church, and the Founder/President of The Providence Forum.
Here's a quote from the introduction to Sacred Fire:
"George Washington's Sacred Fire intends to convince you that when all the available evidence is considered, the only viable conclusion is that George Washington was a Christian and not a Deist. A Day at Six Flags
Last Friday, Isaac surprised Christie for her birthday by taking her to Six Flags. Surprisingly, we all kept it a secret for almost 2 weeks, even when she and Isaac dropped off the kids Friday morning:) Luke & I met them there, along with the rest of Christie's family.
